With guest speakers from a range of backgrounds, such as the Chief Justice and current political activists, our talks and conferences have been a point of insight for students to critically think about the socio-political issues that are heated topics in our cities.

Joint-University Christmas Conference
A co-hosted forum focusing on Hong Kong’s socio-political issues, including issues on the past democratic movements, and the 2017 Chief Executive Election. 2016 speakers included Prof. Brian Fong, Prof. Priscilla Leung, and Joshua Wong. We hope this forum will deepen members’ understanding about Hong Kong public affairs.
Discussion Forums
Running on intra- and inter-university models, we hold discussion forums to debate on and reflect our opinions towards controversial issues.

Featuring an introductory keynote and an open discussion forum in which participating PASS society heads share their views on and invite us to ponder about the meaning of university. Later concluding with a debate between subcommittee event coordinators on the proposition of the day. Past forums had been proudly presented by ICPASS, KCLPASS, LSESU HKPASS and UCLU PASS, in association with Warwick PASS.

Public Affairs Workshops
The workshops are held once a term, discussing topics including the oppressions of minority groups in the society and social movements around the world, aiming to enhance members’ exposure to the political and socio-economic issues around the world.
​
The workshops will be discussion-based, aided with some group games regarding the topic. A brief introduction on the issues are provided by external speakers.

The workshops run internally for members.
